In February, 2007, CI Capital Partners acquired Valley National Gases LLC the largest independent distributor of industrial, specialty and medical gases and a leading distributor of non-pipeline propane with revenues in excess of $235 million. Prior to its acquisition by CI Capital Partners, Valley National was a public company trading on the American Stock Exchange (AMEX:VLG). Newly headquartered in Independence, Ohio, Valley National serves in excess of 225,000 customers through a network of 92 locations in 18 states in the Midwestern and Eastern United States, with 10 production and distribution centers in the eastern United States. 
At the core of Valley National’s strategy is growth through the acquisition of smaller, independent distributors in the fragmented industrial gas and propane industries. Valley acquired Mitchell Industrial Supply Inc. in June 2007, Allegheny Welding & Industrial Supply in October 2007, Portland Welding in December 2007, Wolfenden Industries in January 2008, N.H. Bragg & Sons in May 2008 and Beaver Valley Welding Supply, Inc. in June 2008.
